Located near Asheville, North Carolina at the foot hills of the Great Blue Ridge Mountains.

Surrounded by five state parks, close to Brevard, Rosman, Hendersonville, Cashiers, Lake Toxaway, Highlands, Asheville and Greenville.

The property is located within the Line Runner Ridge Community not far from Rosman, North Carolina. It is well placed, being close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville and many attractive mountain communities and towns.



The property is forested and has many potential cabin sites, quite a few with views. This part of North Carolina is generally fairly cool in summer and enjoys mild winters. The elevation of the property extends from two thousand feet to over three thousand feet.

There are various ridges that would be spectacular cabin sites with views as well as many places that do not have views but which have pleasant features such as forested valleys or the sound of water from a spring fed stream. Three spring fed streams are on the property.

The existing roads skirt the edges of the property, with one leg going up to a top culdesac, and one to a lower culdesac which is surrounded by the property. The most convenient split would be 15 acres, taking most of the top two parcels in this image below. The top parcel has views and electricity. A stream runs through the second parcel.

It is pleasingly quiet on the property. There are no major highways etc out there for many miles. Solitude is the primary reason why I enjoy being there. A great camp fire and peace and quiet.



Lower Culdesac
Electricity and telephone have been run to the lower culdesac, and I am told that neighbors can receive up to 5mb DSL service. Water and septic for an RV are run to the lower culdesac as well. Let me know if you would like to rent my RV spot...

The property is a collection of five parcels adjacent to each other. Individual parcels can be purchased as well. Logical splits would be 2 acres, an approximately 15 acre parcel, or a 25 - 30 acre split (top to bottom in this image).



To me, the property is heaven. My plan is to build a cabin or two on the property. I enjoy the community around it, the location and the climate. When it is sweltering at home in the summer, I love it here as the temperature is perfect with no air-conditioning needed. If I did sell the entire parcel, I would use the proceeds to purchase a cabin in the same Line Runner Ridge community, so I do not plan on leaving, just hope to get my own cabin there sooner or later. I would highly recommend this community. The setting is very plesant, and the neighbors are wonderful.



This is a picture showing one small part of the interior of the sixty acres. I love hiking around the property for exercise. Bow hunting would be appropriate on the property if you are a hunter. There are deer in these forests.

Close by is a community lake. The association has a small park along the edge for the residents to fish, swim and barbeque from.



The top culdesac has a view and is readily accessible by car. Electricity is a few feet away and the stream below has clean drinking water.

It takes about 40 minutes driving time to reach Asheville and about three hours to Atlanta. The area is known as the "Land of Waterfalls" for good reason. Scenic Highway 64 runs through some of the most attractive parts of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

About me:
I am the owner of this property, not a realtor. I write software for a living, hence this website. I live in Tampa, Florida. The Line Runner Ridge Association charges very little per year and only has two responsibilities: Road and lake maintenance. Their website is here: http://www.linerunnerridge.com/. As you will see there, I am the VP at present. The lake is located less than a mile from my gate. One drives past it when going to the property. The association provides a key for residents. There is an association area on the lake where residents can fish, swim, canoe or barbeque. We hold the annual meetings there.



There are many scenarios to this sale: I could sell a part of the property (up to 30 acres), or all, or none. Here is a tract breakdown by acreage (top to bottom from the image below):

If someone wanted the largest part I can divide off, but not the entire property, the biggest split would be the top two parcels, and a dividing line through Tract 6, making up about 25 or so acres. We would have to walk this to decide where the line would be and the exact acreage. Because I park my RV in the lower culdesac surrounded by tracts 6, 7 and 8, I would lose my solitude if all of tract 6 were sold but not 7 and 8. In this event, I would only sell all or none of the property. Other purchase options would be the top two acres, followed by the adjacent tract. Those two less a small section total 15 acres and include a stream, a view lot with electricity nearby and a road leading to it.
